One question I hear all the time as an investor from founders and management teams that are pondering the next phases of their growth is whether their business should go public or stay private.

While it’s a relatively innocuous seeming question, these are two very different pathways to the future that are sure to alter the trajectory of any given company. It’s without a doubt where two roads diverge, and it’s about much more than getting access to capital.
